Hozhonigo Institute is a nonprofit organization working to strengthen the infrastructure that helps Tribal Nations, Native organizations, and Native communities access, implement, and steward investment.

Our programs and initiatives may include the Tribal Funding Registry, the Tribal Project Capacity & Procurement Exchange, Fiscal Stewardship, educational resources, technical assistance, events, research, partnerships, and related services.

Information about programs that are under development is provided for informational purposes and may change as those programs are designed and launched.

The information provided on this website is intended for general informational and educational purposes.

Nothing on this website constitutes legal, financial, tax, accounting, investment, procurement, or other professional advice.

Hozhonigo Institute does not guarantee that any funding opportunity, program, service provider, consultant, business, or other resource described or referenced through the website will be appropriate for any particular organization or project.

3. Tribal Sovereignty and Decision-Making

Hozhonigo Institute respects Tribal sovereignty and the authority of Tribal Nations and Native organizations to establish their own priorities, processes, procurement requirements, contracting standards, and decisions.

Where Hozhonigo Institute provides information about businesses, professionals, consultants, funding opportunities, or other resources, that information is intended to increase visibility and access.

Hozhonigo Institute does not make procurement or contracting decisions on behalf of Tribal Nations or Native organizations unless expressly agreed to in a separate written agreement.

4. Funding Opportunities and Third-Party Information

Our website and programs may include information obtained from foundations, government agencies, corporations, Tribal entities, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and other third parties.

We strive to provide useful and accurate information, but funding opportunities, deadlines, eligibility requirements, contact information, and other details may change without notice.

Hozhonigo Institute does not guarantee funding, eligibility, application success, contracting opportunities, or business opportunities.

5. Tribal Project Capacity & Procurement Exchange

The Tribal Project Capacity & Procurement Exchange is being developed to improve visibility and connections among Tribal projects, community-defined needs, Native-owned businesses, consultants, professionals, and other qualified partners.

Any listing, profile, referral, search result, or other appearance within the Exchange should not be interpreted as an endorsement, certification, guarantee, or representation by Hozhonigo Institute unless expressly stated otherwise.

Tribal Nations and Native organizations remain responsible for conducting their own procurement, due diligence, selection, contracting, compliance, and oversight.

Businesses, consultants, and professionals are responsible for the accuracy of information they provide about themselves, their qualifications, services, ownership, licenses, certifications, and experience.

Additional terms may apply to the Exchange when it becomes publicly available.

6. User Submissions

You may have opportunities to submit information through forms, registrations, surveys, requests for updates, event registrations, partnership inquiries, or other features.

You agree that information you provide will be accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the authority to provide it.
