Hozhonigo Institute works with Tribal Nations, Native organizations, philanthropy, Native-owned businesses, corporations, and other aligned partners to strengthen the systems that help investment reach Native communities and turn into lasting results.

Our work is designed to address different parts of the same challenge: helping communities find resources, connect with the people needed to implement projects, and build the capacity to steward investment well over time.

FOR PHILANTHROPY & FUNDERS

Invest in the systems that make community-defined work possible.

Funders can partner with Hozhonigo Institute to support the Tribal Funding Registry, the Tribal Project Capacity & Procurement Exchange, Fiscal Stewardship, regional initiatives, pilot programs, and other efforts designed to improve how resources reach and move through Native communities.

Partnership opportunities may include general operating support, program investment, pilot funding, sponsorship, research, or collaborative initiatives.

Our programs are being built around the needs and priorities of Native communities.

Tribal Nations and Native organizations can partner with us by participating in pilots, sharing community-defined needs, helping shape new tools and services, and connecting with resources through our programs.

Our role is to create access, visibility, and infrastructure. Tribal Nations and Native organizations retain authority over their priorities, procurement, partnerships, and decision-making.

Native communities need access to professionals and businesses with the experience to help move projects from funding to completion.

Through the developing Tribal Project Capacity & Procurement Exchange, we are working to increase visibility for Native-owned businesses, consultants, contractors, and professionals while making it easier for Tribal projects and opportunities to be discovered.
